Is Your Horse Trying To Tell You Something?

Does your horse seem to have trouble with lead changes? Maybe your horse suffers from stiffness, sore back, or girth discomfort. Have you noticed that he/she has been stumbling-either with the front or hind feet? Are you frustrated with his/her short strides or gradual loss of power? Since horses do not have the luxury of a voice box, they rely on body language for communication. Is your horse trying to tell you something? Equine Sports Massage Therapy (ESM) is a hands-on, drug free approach to common problems which stem from muscular stress and strain. ESM works by manipulating the fibers in your horse's muscles. When a horse is in training for competition, enduring strenuous exercise, or has suffered an injury, muscles can become torn. The muscle then repairs itself in a random pattern - which results in scar tissue. This scar tissue is the most common cause for restricted movement and loss of flexibility. This equates to loss of performance! ESM can modify this scar tissue . . . enabling your horse to return to the athlete it was intended to be! ESM is beneficial to all horses, whether it be a strong, young barrel racer, or a twenty something lawn mower with arthritis. ESM increases circulation, tissue and lymph drainage, provides muscle relaxation and pain relief. It promotes rapid healing, and most importantly, by keeping the muscle mobile - it prevents future injuries from occurring! ! ESM causes a sedative effect on the central nervous system, which in turn gives your horse a greater sense of well-being. This helps to build the horse's over-all self esteem.

The better your horse feels - both mentally and physically- the better your athlete will perform for you. Include ESM in your horse's health care regimen, and that something your horse is trying to tell you, will be "Thanks !"
