A Farriers Tips On Buying A Horse

1. Have a farrier go with you.
2. Ask the owner to ride the horse - watch how the horse moves.
3. Have a veterinarian check the horse over. Also inquire about shots and worming.

Once you are an owner; Pick out and clean your horses feet on a daily basis, then apply hoof oil. Feed a foot supplement in feed every day. Keep up on trimming and shoeing. Remember, your horses feet carry him or her everywhere...no feet no horse.
